Why Zines?Poetry is the one place where people can speak their original human mind. - Allen Ginsberg Poetry is often stereotyped as being inaccessible, incomprehensible, and for tortured, emotional, intellectuals.
My mission is to dispel that way of thinking through the medium of zines. These are bite-sized, visually appealing, mini magazines containing a single poem thoughtfully paired with images which support the meaning of the words on the page. They're poetry picture books for grown-ups (and clever kids). |
